This is an extremely short read; less than 30 pages by my e-reader count, so things move quickly in this tale of long time friends who move on to lovers. One initially can't blame Kate for being leery of getting involved with Nick on the rebound. Kate has always been the rebound girl, second choice and left behind. They lost their siblings in a car crash and fought over their orphaned niece in court. Kate was the one friend Faith had when returning to Serendipity. Unfortunately, her undeniably intense desire for Nick Mancini is testing her best laid plans because Kate has carried a torch fo.
But she has had enough and has vowed never to be someone's second choice again. Carly Phillips made her debut as a published author in 1998. If you loved Serendipity and wanted to know what happened between Faith's two friends then you need to read this book. Carly is married to her college sweetheart, has two daughters and three dogs. I was so excited to finally get their story having read all of the books in this series so far, but I was a little disappointed. Considering how short the story is and how much ground she needed to cover, I was impressed that nothing felt overly rushed, unless it's Nick's quick realization that time is running out! It felt a bit short, perhaps because we've been anticipating Nick and Kate's story for so long. She lives in Purchase, New York, with her husband, two daughters, and dogs, Bailey, a soft-coated wheaten terrier and Brady, a Havanese, who act like additional children.
While Fated was a short, quick read, it was nice to see Kate get her happily-ever-after with the man she's been in love with for such a very long time. And him finally opening his eyes and falling for the girl that has always been there was nice. The humor is never-ending, the sex is great and this can't be said enough hotties abound. Unfortunately, her undeniably intense desire for Nick Mancini i. Fated was short, sweet, hot, romantic and funny. This short story follows Nick Mancini and Kate Andrews as they finally get to their happy ending.
However Kate's stubborn and she's been hurt before, which means Nick will have to pull out all the stops in order to convince her he's not the same boy she used to know, and she's not second best…. Every character and story is always sweet and leaves me happy and with a sigh at the end. Lately, Nick has definitely noticed Kate. We were introduced to them in book 1, Serendipity, and have been watching them dance around each other ever since. Midnight Angel is also titled Unexpected Chances.
It was a half-hearted effort and he realized Faith wasn't for him. She managed to pack in enough character development to keep me invested in this couple's relationship and the story line didn't feel too rushed. Unfortunately he can't get her to take him seriously. But if it works, than all will be well in the town of Serendipity! Nick enlists Faith's help to kidnap Kate for an overnight date after Kate has turned him down over and over. You won't be confused by what's going on in the novella, but other books might be a better introduction to Ms.
Nick has been asking Kate out for months and she has repeatedly turned him down. Kate Andrews is the original rebound girl. The build up to Nate and Kate's romance has been building up for 3 books. I thoroughly enjoyed this short story about two people, Nick and Kate, who finally come to terms with their feelings for one another and just dive right in, but not with some stubbornness and hesitation on Kate's part. He was her best friend Faith's boy-friend in high school and he tried to renew their relationship when Faith came back home. If you read the other books in this series then you'll remember Nick from Ethan and Faith's story.
Lately, Nick has definitely noticed Kate. Lately, Nick has definitely noticed Kate. Perfect for a quick mood pick up. This was a sweet love story - very short, but very enjoyable nonetheless - and it's whetted my appetite for more Serendipity books. Unfortunately he can't get her to take him seriously.
Seduce Me is also known as Erotic Invitation. He was the contractor that helped Faith with her store but he's also Faith's high school sweetheart who tried to get at her again when she popped right back up in Serendipity, much to Ethan's chagrin. Feeling like she's now the rebound girl, something she's felt most of her life, Kate stays away from Nick even though secretly she's got the hots for him. This short story follows Nick Mancini and Kate Andrews as they finally get to their happy ending. The fact that they have no sexual sparks? It's a sweet, short story, and I wish there had been a bit more, but I can definitely see why it was kept as short as it was. Nate is a sexy, construction worker and Kate is a beautiful, school teacher.
